(神思者)" is an electronic keyboard band formed in 1984 by Akihiko Fukaura and Yukari Katsuki. They gained widespread recognition in 1988 for their composition, arrangement, and performance in the NHK documentary series "Silk Road" episode titled "Maritime Silk Road". In 1989, they performed the soundtrack for the film "A City of Sadness", directed by Taiwanese filmmaker Hou Hsiao-hsien, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and garnered international acclaim. Their music, within a short 21-minute segment, eloquently interpreted the profound and inexpressible sense of despair and sadness from the movie, leaving a lasting impression.

To deepen the impression on their fans through the trilogy of "Maritime Silk Road" soundtracks ("Sea God", "Garo", "Tea Waltz"), the group renamed itself with the dual meanings of "Sense" and "Cense", symbolizing their commitment and anticipation. After the turn of the millennium, S.E.N.S.'s creative concept extended to "Sound, Earth, Nature, Spirit", embodying their promise and expectations.

Apart from album recordings, since 1993, they have also been involved in scoring several Japanese idol dramas, including renowned series such as "Love Letter", "In the Season of Glittering", "L'oiseau Bleu", "Oh! My God!", "Love Generation", and "Flying Cinderella".
