Noel Quinlan (陆昆仑) is an Australian-born New Age music composer, producer, and guitarist known for blending traditional Chinese melodies with modern electronic elements. Starting as a professional guitarist at 15, he rose to prominence as a studio musician and later became a pioneering force in Asia’s music scene.

After moving to Hong Kong in the late 1960s, Noel formed his own band, established the region’s first jingle house, and composed music for countless commercials and films. He played a key role in the careers of many iconic Chinese artists and created Asia’s first multi-track recording studio.

His best-known work, the Middle Kingdom album series, fuses ancient Chinese folk tunes with modern sounds and has sold over a million copies. He has composed scores for over 40 films, collaborated with orchestras worldwide, and produced for stars like Anita Mui and Jackie Chan.

Founder of Big Sky Records, Noel continues to bridge East and West through world music and musical theatre, dividing his time between Hong Kong and Sydney.
